Quality control of fruits and vegetables on arrival

Our work focuses mainly on guaranteeing our clients a representation of their products before their receivers, for which we send our personnel to the warehouses or cold stores of the latter in order to conduct the inspection of the fruits or vegetables upon arrival. Our inspectors perform a thorough inspection of the consignment using specialized instruments and technical tools. During the inspection, we control the temperature, which includes the retrieval and reading of thermographs. We also control Brix degrees and gas variation (modified atmosphere and controlled atmosphere).

Accurate and timely quality control reports

GCService carries out on-site data collection digitally. After verification and a double check control, we make available to our clients the quality reports and the photographs generated in each inspection within the 24 hours following the inspection. The updated analysis of the products' condition is therefore made available to our clients in an expeditious way, hence favoring commercial decisions and the feedback for packaging centers.

At the request of our clients, we also take samples for microbiological and residual analysis purposes by specialized Belgian laboratories.

Access to historic archive of reports and provision of statistical data

GCService has implemented its own data collection, processing and output software. This enables us to generate quality reports in the hours following on-site inspection. We make available to our clients their reports history through a private and personalized Customer Online Profile. Our customers can also conduct searches within their own profile using different parameters, which facilitates management decisions.

At the request of our clients, we also provide seasonal statistical reports.

Post-harvest advice

We analyze the results at the end of each season and we undertake a feedback activity with the production technicians of our clients in order to jointly improve, season after season, the quality of the fruits and vegetables on arrival.
